Drawing for Fun
by Sarah Levine
My personal cherub drawing
Ever since I was a little kid I enjoyed drawing for fun. My youngest memories were of my uncle and I laying around drawing pictures and coloring with crayons.
He would draw me pictures in pencil, so then I could color them in in crayon or colored pencil. As I got older, I would draw for pleasure when I would get stressed out or when I had a bad day.
Even my classes in school revolved around Art and drawing. My favorite mediums to use were watercolors and chalks. In high school I really enjoyed art on the computer, as in Photoshop. When I would need inspiration for something to draw or sketch, I would go outside with my digital camera and take as many photos of different subjects as I could.
I would bring my camera inside and sketch from those photos. That was my favorite way to get inspiration because the choices were endless, and fun.
