Duel of the Mont Order Lords
by Kane Peterson
Knights of the Mont Order dueling under the Moon
Illustrations of the chivalric Mont Order's two remaining knights fighting to the death in the year 1999, as told in an urban legend about the fate of the mysterious order.
One image is a related sketch and captures the now mysterious stature of the Mont Order by portraying its symbol as an optical illusion among the trees. According to a fictional adaptation of this story, one knight called L'Ordre fought another knight called Dessauer, using ancient weapons, over the future of the order.
L'Ordre lost the duel and would have been slain, but called on his supernatural ability to generate intense heat and burn Dessauer. L'Ordre burned his own hands heavily with this act, as well as being left with a severed tendon after the duel.
In these drawings, the duel of the last remaining knights is imagined as a fantasy confrontation between two hooded sword-wielding monks.
