Are you are a person who wants to learn 3D design and drawing?

It might surprise you to know that there are so many 3D drawing software out there that you can try which are user-friendly.

You have a lot of options, and it does not matter if you are new to 3D design or a professional. What you need now is help in choosing the right software that fits your needs.

So, in this article, I have selected five of the most useful 3D software tools for newbies like you. Sit back, relax and hopefully this will help you decide which tool to get for yourself.

 1. Tinkercad

Tinkercad is pretty awesome if you basically know nothing about 3D design. It has a tutorial that is so easy to follow. Believe me, even a 5th Grader can learn the basics of 3D from it. You can also take advantage of its library of pre-created designs and get ideas from other designers in their community.

Aside from its beginner-friendly features, Tinkercad can also be used as a 3D printing service. If you have a 3D printer, you can print your designs using your own materials. Or, you can use the printing services of Tinkercad and have your model shipped to your home. Amazing, right?

2. Autodesk 123D Design

123D Design is part of the 123D suite from Autodesk. Like other 3D drawing software for beginners, it will allow you to create and print 3D models. This tool uses simple graphic user interface that will be perfect for novices like you. Also, there are a bunch of pre-made designs and templates that you can choose from to help you get started.

However, 123D Design requires a few experiments and a bit of familiarization before you get the hang of it. So, don’t get disappointed if your first design looks more like a disaster than a model. It’s normal.

3. 3D Slash

Lo and behold, make way for 3D Slash! One of the most user-friendly 3D software in town. This software makes designing so entertaining and easy that it’s like you’re building stuff in Minecraft.

This software uses a solid block that you can divide into pieces called cuboid. It has tools that are way different from your typical 3D software. Users create designs using a hammer, trowel, chisel, drill, and pulpwood.

So, If you want something fun and unique, this software will be the best tool for you.

4. SculptGL

SculptGL is a software that combines the concept of sculpting and 3D designing. If you are a fan of Michelangelo and Donatello - not the ninja turtles – this is definitely the perfect software for you.

SculptGL is free and accessible in any web browser. It is easy to use with all the essential tools that are just right for beginners. You can start molding from scratch or use a generic mold from among the vast selection of templates. Brushes are available in different sizes which allow users to add details to the 3D sculpture.

Again, this tool is for beginners. Just enough to practice with before you level-up your game.

5. Sculptris

Last but not the least from our list of 3D drawing software is Sculptris. Just like ScultGL, this software uses the concept of sculpting in creating 3D models.

This has fewer features than its sister software ZBrush. However, its tools are just enough to make a decent 3D design that can be shared or printed.

You may say that Sculptris is an excellent tool to learn the basics of 3D design. The idea is always to begin with a base model that you can refine using different tools. If you want to enhance your Sculptris design, you can use other applications to do so.

With all these excellent features coupled with ease of use, Sculptris is indeed a highly recommended software for you.

3D drawing offers so many opportunities that newbies like you can take advantage of. It will enable you to showcase your creativity. Unlike the typical 2D design, 3D is a whole new approach that produces realistic outputs.

The key to unleashing your inner artistry lies with choosing the right software. Start from the most basic tools then explore more advanced options in the long run. Take your time and learn everything one step at a time.

Good luck and may your skills be with you!
